David C. Sieling, Esq.
Founding Member
David C. Sieling, Esq., is the founding member of David Sieling Law PLLC, where he focuses on estate planning, administration, litigation, and trust disputes. With a commitment to advocating for clients in complex legal matters, he brings a blend of litigation experience and strategic planning to help individuals navigate probate proceedings, will contests, and related issues.
David earned his Juris Doctor cum laude from Syracuse University College of Law in 2017. He also holds a Master's Degree in Television, Radio, and Film from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University. He received his undergraduate degree from SUNY Brockport, where he majored in rhetorical studies.
Admitted to the New York Bar in 2018, David began his legal career as an associate at Brenna Boyce PLLC, handling cases in estate litigation, trusts and estates, and personal injury. In 2025, he established David Sieling Law PLLC in Honeoye Falls, New York, to provide dedicated representation in these practice areas. He is a member of the Monroe County Bar Association. In addition to his legal practice, David has a background in filmmaking and serves as a professor in the Music Business program at Nazareth University, where he teaches courses on entertainment law, contracts, and industry practices.
David Sieling has achieved notable successes in appellate and trial litigation. He successfully argued before the Appellate Division, Fourth Department, in Matter of Keough (2021), a complex estate administration case where the court modified the Surrogate's Court order in favor of his client. He also litigated on behalf of churches to challenge and reverse aspects of New York State's laws restricting armed security teams in places of worship, advocating for enhanced safety measures in religious institutions. In Riedman Acquisitions LLC v. Town of Mendon (2021), he represented the Town of Mendon in a significant zoning and land use dispute, contributing to a favorable appellate outcome that balanced development interests with municipal regulations. Additionally, in Otero v. Rochester Broadway Theatre League (2025), he secured a reversal of summary judgment on appeal, reinstating a claim involving a slip-and-fall incident and establishing new precedent for premises liability cases. These successes underscore his skill in handling high-stakes appeals and protecting clients; rights against governmental and corporate entities.
David resides in Henrietta with his wife, four children, and several chickens.
Wiliam J Brongo, Esq.
Of Counsel
William (Bill) J. Brongo brings over 42 years of legal experience to David Sieling Law PLLC, with a focus on estate planning, administration, litigation, and related areas. His background in Surrogate's Court and probate proceedings supports the firm in addressing wills, trusts, estate fiduciary appointments, and inheritance matters.
Bill earned his undergraduate degree cum laude from the University at Buffalo, with an ad hoc major in Historical Perspectives on Comparative Religion and Ethics. Mr. Brongo's career highlights, presented in reverse chronological order, demonstrate his extensive expertise across multiple facets of the law:
- For the past 11 years, he has maintained a private practice focused exclusively on Surrogate's Court matters, including the validation of wills and the appointment of estate fiduciaries.
- He served as Chief Clerk of Surrogate's Court for approximately 9 years, acting as the chief administrative officer. In this role, he supervised attorneys, law clerks, court clerks, and other professional staff, while also authoring many of the court's written decisions.
- Prior to that, he was a Law Clerk to the Surrogate for 1 year.
- He held the position of the Seventh Judicial District's first matrimonial referee for 2 years, presiding over approximately 1,200 cases.
- He served as Law Clerk to New York State Supreme Court Justice Charles Siragusa for 5 years.
- For 8 years, he was Chief of the Special Investigations Bureau in the Monroe County
- District Attorney's Office, where he supervised a team of attorneys and investigators handling cases involving narcotics, gambling, and organized crime.
- Before that, he worked as an Assistant District Attorney in both the litigation and appeals departments of the same office.
- He began his career as a trial lawyer in the Monroe County Public Defender's Office.
Throughout his tenure, Bill Brongo has assisted thousands of individuals, including crime victims, grieving families, judges navigating complex legal issues, and those making critical decisions about their estates and legacies. His work has also honored the final wishes of the deceased by upholding the integrity of the legal system. Robert L. Brenna, Jr., Esq.
Senior Trial Counsel
Robert (Bob) L. Brenna Jr., Esq., serves as Senior Trial Counsel at David Sieling Law PLLC. With over 46 years of legal experience, he has a proven track record of trial success, including landmark victories such as the first trial against the State of New York for a wrongful death related to the Attica prison uprising and the first verdict in the New York Court of Claims for a constitutional violation. His trial practice in Supreme Court, combined with extensive appellate work in state and federal courts, has enabled him to secure justice for clients in complex cases against municipalities, international corporations, and other powerful entities.
Mr. Brenna earned his Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Syracuse University in 1973. He then attended New England Law in Boston, Massachusetts, where he received his Juris Doctor in 1978.
Mr. Brenna began his legal career by joining the firm founded by his father, Robert L. Brenna Sr., in 1979. Throughout his tenure, he has represented clients in a wide range of matters, such as injuries under Labor Law Section 240, defective products, pharmacy errors, auto defects, drunk driving incidents, and negligent trucking operations. He has also handled estate probate, administration, trusts planning, and end-of-life directives. He hosts a weekly radio show, "Brenna and Brenna Law Forum," on WHAM and has lectured for organizations including the New York State Bar Association, New York State Academy of Trial Lawyers, New York State Trial Lawyers Association, and Monroe County Bar Association.
Mr. Brenna's professional affiliations include past president of the New York State Academy of Trial Lawyers, membership in the National Academy of Trial Advocacy, and past president of the Genesee Valley Trial Lawyers Association. He has been recognized by Best Lawyers in America, Super Lawyers (2007-2024), Martindale-Hubbell AV Preeminent rating, Avvo "Superb" 10.0 rating, and named one of the top 100 trial lawyers in New York by the American Trial Lawyers Association.
